Here's your opportunity to fulfill the ultimate sewing fantasy in one of San Francisco's turn of-the-century private clubs. The Marine Memorial Club offers you comfortable lodging, excellent restaurants, an inviting swimming pool and a pleasant conference room (available from 7:00 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.) where you can sew to your heart's content. You will not waste a second of your precious sewing time....an elevator ride up will get you something to eat and a ride down will take you to your room for that quick power nap. And, best of all...it's located just 2½ blocks from Union Square and 4 blocks from Britex fabrics!

‘Sandra has a fresh approach and upbeat outlook on life which comes through in all her classes. The consistency of the quality of her patterns and her instructions, which highlight updated sewing techniques, bring fun and joy to the home sewer.’ -Jan Fisher,  Ann Arbor,  MI

Say Good-bye to the trial and error method of fitting. Let Sandra take an accurate set of your measurements. Allow yourself to be individually fitted by Sandra to determine your personal 'fit formula'. Find out what pattern size is right for you and how to adjust any pattern using your ‘fit formula.’ Now you can cut into your expensive fabric with confidence.

Liberate your bulging closets of fabrics you're afraid to cut into. Sandra will help you in choosing a flattering style. Master combining patterns to get the exact look you desire. Learn time-saving techniques that give you professional looking results. Try on a plethora of garments from Sandra's wardrobe (most have current pattern numbers). Seize the opportunity to inspect Sandra's garments and ask questions. Uncover tips on great patterns. Learn to handle a variety of fabrics under the needle and under the iron.

‘A full week of sewing instruction matched to my own interests and needs, plus being with other students who love to sew—a dream vacation spot for a sewer!’ -Joyce Jones , Springfield, VA

Because the class size is limited to only 10, Sandra takes sewers of all levels from rank beginner to extremely advanced. If fitting is your nemesis, bring a bolt of muslin and lots of patterns. Go home with patterns altered just for you. If you own a piece of fabric that intimidates you, bring it along and sew it up here. If you have always wanted jeans that fit, now is your chance. If you just want to relax and have fun, bring any project your heart desires and Sandra will help you over the trouble spots.
